Q: What flavors does Ice Box Bakery make?
A: We have seven flavors: Deluxe Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip (with walnuts), Double Dutch Chocolate, Old Fashioned Peanut Butter, Chewy Ginger Spice, Tart Cherry Pie (our version of oatmeal raisin), and Classic Sugar.
Q: Can I freeze the cookie dough?
A: YES the dough freezes for up to 6 months. If already opened, make sure you wrap it securely to avoid freezer burn
Q: How many cookies does each package make?
A: Each package makes approximately 16 cookies, however, the beauty of our packaging is that moms can control the size of the cookies to suit little mouths or make a larger batch.
Q: Do I have to make the whole roll at once?
A: NO. You can slice off as many as you would like and put the remaining dough in the fridge. We recommend covering the exposed end with plastic wrap to keep it from drying out.
Q: Can I use cutters with the dough?
A: YES, the Chewy Ginger Spice and Classic Sugar Cookie doughs are great with cutters. We recommend rolling the dough to 1/4“ thick, cutting with the cutter, then chill for 5 minutes before baking.
Q: Can I bake from frozen?
A: YES, it’s easier to cut safely after 10 minutes of defrosting
Q: How long should I bake them?
A: 12-14 minutes – 12 for chewier texture and 14 for a crispier texture. The cookies are done when they are golden brown around the edges and still slightly undercooked in the center.
Q: Can I bake them in a cake pan?
A: YES to make brownie style cookies, press the dough into a 9×9 cake pan, then bake for approximately 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool and cut into squares.
